Size
Midi beds are usually lower than high-sleepers, and feature a smaller ladder or staircase. They are therefore perfect for smaller rooms. They take a single UK mattress and include a range of useful elements beneath. From a smartly designed desk that slides into a cupboard to hold totes, to elegant drawers that move with a smooth no-wobble movement.
Our midi cabin beds are available in a variety of colours so you can pick the one that best suits your bedroom for your child. Some go further than this and include an array of custom-designed storage units. The desk can be moved between two units via wheels. There are four drawers for storage, and two cupboards that have doors. The Eli F takes it to the next level with doors that match the color of the chosen head and foot board.
The Luna low-line loft bed, also known as a Midi-storage bed is small, and includes everything you require. A ladder that can be rotated as well as a desk on wheels that can slide into and out, and three drawer cabinets and a chest are all included. You could also request it in a reverse configuration, for example the ladder on the left. Ask in the store or indicate this request at the time of checkout.

This midi loft that is compact and has storage features everything your child wants The desk slides in and out on wheels, there are three drawers where they can store their trinkets or toys, and a large cupboard to store their books in.
Some midi loft beds with storage come with a desk already built into the bunk (as shown in the image above), while others like our Luna midi bunk have the ladder positioned on the right-hand side so that the desk can be positioned at the left (please inquire in the store, by phone or add this in the comments section when shopping if this is important to you).
It's important to note that many Midi loft beds with desks require the use of a standard UK single mattress (3ft/90x190cm) with a wooden slatted base. The cost of the bed doesn't include the mattress. We recommend looking at our mattress deals to find one that fits your budget.

Mattress
Most midi beds can accommodate standard UK single mattresses, and the top bunk comes with a safety rail to give you peace of mind. Some models come with an trundle drawer with a pull-out that can be used to host sleepovers, or to add more storage space under the bed. These can either be open or have doors (please check the product's specifications for more details).
Many midi cabins include a desk which can be moved between the two upper levels, or chests of drawers. This allows the children to have the space they need to store all of their belongings. This also means that they don't have to make use of floor space by using bulky shelving or wardrobes.
Some models have gone a step beyond with cabinets that are flush mounted, or even part of the headboard/footboard. This is ideal for storing books and toys.
